HOW IT ALL STARTED
IT STARTED WITH THREE FRIENDS...
Duh It Down didn't start in a podcast studio. It started nearly 30 years ago when three guys met in college and somehow managed to remain close friends ever since. The foundation of that friendship has always been quite simple: beer, Taco Bell, bad decisions, making fun of each other, and never taking ourselves too seriously.
Over the years, we've gone through just about everything together—football training camp, spring break, ridiculous challenges, old-school infield parties at the Preakness, and enough stories that we're probably not allowed to share on the internet.
Then COVID happened.
With everything locked down and nowhere to go, we began gathering on Zoom calls. There wasn’t a clear plan; we’d grab some drinks, share old stories, debate about trivial topics, and make fun of one another—basically the same shenanigans we’d enjoyed for decades, just now with webcams involved.
After a few sessions, we realized something important:
We needed to keep this going.
We needed an excuse to gather, laugh, tell stories, and continue all the ridiculous antics that have preserved our friendship for nearly 30 years.
That’s when the idea for a podcast was born.
And the name?
Well, Todd's nickname in college was “Duh.”
We could give you the long explanation for how he earned it... but seriously. Just listen to him and you'll know why.
And with that, Duh It Down was born. We dive into talking about bad movies and sports trivia so you don’t have to.
